Dr Michael E. Martin is a Board-Certified in adult and pediatric allergy and clinical immunology. Dr Martin has nine years of medical study including allergy fellowship training at the University of Colorado/National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, the nation's leading center for allergy and asthma research and training.
The symptoms of allergic rhinitis - commonly called "hay fever"- include sneezing, runny nose nasal congestion, and itching of nose and throat.The discharge from allergic rhinitis is usually clear and watery. Complications associated with allergic rhinitis include sinus and ear infection, allergic eye symptoms, fatigue, and increased risk for asthma.

Asthma occurs when the linings of airways become inflamed and swollen and muscle spasms constrict airflow to the lungs. Dr Martin has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Allergic Rhinitis, Sinus Problems, Asthma, Food Allergy, Bee Sting Allergy, Anaphylaxis, and other allergic diseases
Dr Martin received his B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy and his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Colorado Medical School. He then did an internship and residency at the David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis AFB, California.
Dr. Martin served in the U.S. Air Force where he holds the rank of Colonel. His positions included Chief of Professional Services and pediatrics at the USAF clinic in Aviano, Italy, Allergy Consultant to the USAF surgeon general, and Chief of the allergy and Immunology department and Allergy Fellowship Program director at Wilford Hall USAF medical center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and has authored several published papers on asthma, allergic rhinitis, and food allergy. Dr. Martin was an assistant clinical professor at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco and was on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of California, Redwood Empire branch where he served as a president for two years. Also, for his work with the Sonoma County Asthma Coalition he was selected as a Public Health Champion by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and the Sonoma County Medical Association. Dr. Martin has been happily married for 45 years, and loves being dad and bapa. He also enjoys travel, theater, sports and geo caching.
Upon completing medical school, she served her internship and residency in internal medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis.
Dr. Petrick evaluated select allergy/immunology programs throughout the country and was very pleased to be accepted to her top choice, St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is fortunate to work closely with some of the most respected professionals in the field, and has served in leadership positions within the allergy/immunology & asthma communites. Dr. Petrick will be available for new appointments beginning in January, 2015. She is also fluent in spanish.
Dr. Petrick and her family, which includes husband John and their two dogs Zack and Zoe, reside in Sonoma County and enjoy an active outdoor-oriented lifestyle that includes travel, hiking, and the culinary arts.

Join us in welcoming Dr. Mima Petrick, FAAAAI, FACAAI, who comes to us in January after moving from Louisville, Kentucky where she served as an allergist/immunologist. Raised in Memphis, Tennessee, she attended the University of Memphis earning her Master of Arts in Teaching in 1988, and taught science for three years before attending the University of Tennessee-Memphis School of Medicine. During her summer breaks, Dr. Petrick also served as a Ranger in The National Park Service.
